A new-age version of rockband and that one fortnite gamemode just got announced at Gamescom, and with it we’re getting a whole bunch of refreshed plastic controllers for good measure
“Stage Tour” is a hardcore spiritual successor to your dad’s favorite rhythm game, and while it’s not Activision’s baby anymore - RedOctane Games doesn’t seem like they’re playing around, either
They’re getting officially licensed guitar brands for your in-game characters, launching with over 90 real-world tracks spanning decades of music, and supporting as many different input methods as humanly possible
Players will be able to use the new peripherals for gameplay as well as keyboards and gamepads, PLUS, they’re including the ability to bring your old legacy controllers from the Wii, 360, PS3, and PS2 guitar hero and rockband games
