It’s like Windows XP all over again, but without all the green stuff
The Windows 10 default lock screen cave beach thing has become so engrained in our minds that people are now booking trips to New Zealand just to see it in real life
The rock formations and freaky archway tunnel are on a place called Wharariki beach, which is on the north tip of the South Island of New Zealand
Sagar and ami on Instagram posted a video where they brought a Windows 10 laptop to the actual location of the picture - which apparently takes around a 20 minute walk through farmland to get to, and is only accessible during low tide
People’ve shown up there over the years and attempted to recreate it - but keep in mind the guy who photographed it originally was actually Steve McCurry - the journalist captured one of the most influential magazine covers of all time for the National Geographic June 1985 issue - some of your great grandparents might even recognize this one
