Eighty-sixth video. One of my favorite themes to ever come out on a Game Boy game, this is the background for the second stage of Kirby's Block Ball.
This is the first stage in which copy abilities are introduced, and the first power up is Spark. Whenever the B button is pressed, Kirby will activate Spark and be sent flying through blocks without rebounding off of them. This also doubles the point total received from breaking blocks, which is important because high scores are necessary to unlock the last stage.
Due to the tempo glitches in Mario Paint Composer, I was unable to take this song at the exact right tempo while keeping the Mario Paint tempo fast enough to allow for dynamic differences... so I opted for slightly faster rather than slightly slower. Musically, I love the chromaticism that happens in the initial melodic line as well as the harmony parts that follow. This theme is short but very catchy; hope you enjoy!
