Seventy-eighth video. As indicated by the title, this is the background music for one of the last areas in Wario Land III, Above the Clouds, as played during nighttime in the game. Many thanks to mario7mario3 for the excellent recording; check out his channel for his great MPCs!
Wario Land III is an interesting Game Boy game; the previous Wario Land was one of the first games I ever played. In Wario Land III, you essentially wander about various areas solving puzzles in search of treasure. Many treasures would provide access to later levels, cause changes in existing levels that lead to additional treasures, or even power up Wario himself. All in all, it's a fun game, though the series seems to have been dropped in favor of the (also enjoyable) Wario Ware series.
Like in Wario Land II, the majority of the music is numerous variations on one theme. This is one of the more calming background tracks; others are faster, more aggressive, creepier, etc. The line accompanying the melody is played on two channels in the original soundtrack. One channel serves solely as an echo, which I tried to mimic with the Game Boys in this MPC. Hope you enjoy!
