This is a series of tests of the stabilisation modes on the Canon XA20. The same modes and abilities are present on the XA25 and HF-G30 camcorders.
I tried handholding the camcorder by the strap and walking a short distance with the stabiliser off, standard, dynamic and powered modes.
Intriguingly, switching Powered on seemed to add it to Dynamic as the wide-angle was the same (ie 2mm less than when Dynamic is turned off)
I then tried the same again but holding the camcorder by the handle.
Finally I zoomed to the maximum 20x and used all four modes again.
If you buy the XA20 via our Amazon link, it helps us keep the reviews going: amzn.to/1HVYDIA
Likewise the HF-G30: amzn.to/15NXggu
And the official Canon high-power battery, the BP-828: amzn.to/1yfY9ZA
