Eldertalk | St. Patrick Controversy - Good or Evil? And #TheIrishReadathon Update @Eldertalk | Uploaded March 2018 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
March 17, 2018 - World vs. saint - what else is new? There can't be anything good on earth without someone saying something bad about it. So today I found out there are a lot of bad rumors about this man we know as St. Patrick, so I did a bit of research to find out more about him. I am reading that in this video, plus giving an update on my progress in the 2018 Irish Readathon.

Note: St. Patrick is a saint, for sure, just like any other Christian... He's a Saint to some churches, but has not been canonized by the Catholic church or made a (big-S) Saint in the Catholic church. He is recognized as a Saint in some other churches. He is in the "List of Saints." He is honored as a Saint in the Episcopalian and Orthodox churches.
Sorry I had to re-edit this video and upload a second time on the 18th.. well, life's that way. I wanted to take out my comment about Patrick's sainthood because I felt it was inaccurate and incomplete since I addressed only the Catholic church and not the Episcopalian and Orthodox. (In case you're wondering, I'm none of these - I'm nondenominational, attending a Calvary Chapel.)
