Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Link, like Zelda, is a character close to my heart. I've used him constantly in Melee, and he was my go-to tryhard character in Smash 4. Historically, he was seen as a character with solid projectiles and tools and little else. In Ultimate, he is now a proper sword user that still retains his utility belt, becoming the Jack-Of-All-Trades he is famous for!
In my opinion, Link is a character that newer players ought to give a go, especially if your a fan of the Legend of Zelda. His plethora of projectiles makes him able to adapt to all situatons, and is a solid pick overall.
So what is the "Character Spotlight", exactly? I wanted to make a new commentary series geared specifically towards "newer" players. This could mean people that have played Smash for a long time but are only recently getting into a competitive scene, or people new to fighting games in general.
I wanted to make this series similar to the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Blade Showcase in the sense that we'll be going over the strengths and weaknesses of the characters, but different in the sense that I'll be emphasizing competitive mindsets. Hope you guys enjoy!
Got any suggestions or feedback? Feel free to leave a comment below and I'll try to respond as soon as I can!
