Hey everyone! Today I’m going to show you how to reset the SRS light on a Honda S2000. The SRS light is particularly troublesome because the light won’t turn off until it is explicitly reset, even if the SRS issue has been corrected.

Steps
1. Before you start this procedure you’re going to need fabricate something to jump the memory erase signal connector. The most common thing I’ve seen people do is to bend a paperclip into a U shape.
2. Once you have a jumper, look underneath the dash next to the fusebox for the memory erase signal connector. It will be a yellow connector with two wires like this. Remove it and insert the jumper into the back of memory erase signal connector with the ignition in the OFF position.
3. Now you’ll need to turn the ignition to the ON position. You’ll see the SRS light come on for 6 seconds and then turn off. Within four seconds of the SRS light turning off you have to remove the jumper.
4. Shortly afterwards the SRS light will come on again. Reconnect the jumper within four seconds of the SRS light coming back on.
5. Lastly, the SRS light will turn off. Remove the jumper within four seconds of the SRS light turning off.
6. If the procedure was successful the SRS will blink twice. If successful, turn the ignition to the OFF position and wait 10 seconds before starting the car.
If your SRS light is still on at this point after successfully completing this procedure you likely have a fault in the SRS system that needs to be diagnosed.
