On 31 May 2025, War on Want hosted the conference 'Reclaiming Power: Organising for Just, Equitable and Ecological Transitions' in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

On a panel titled ‘Land and Food Sovereignty for a Just Transition’ speakers explore why land and our food production systems are central to resilience in the face of climate breakdown and to a just transition. They looked at how food sovereignty movements are building the alternatives for people and planet.
