wsdot | SR 202 and 203 Fish passage project lunch and learn @wsdot | Uploaded May 2022 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
A recording of an online lunch and learn we held on May 5, 2022. This lunch and learn discusses a project to replace four fish barriers near Carnation and Fall City. These include unnamed tributaries to Horseshoe Lake and the Snoqualmie River that cross under SR 203, and Skunk Creek and an unnamed tributary to Skunk Creek crossing under SR 202. The new fish passages will increase potential habitat for fish spawning and rearing. These culverts are subject to the 2013 federal court injunction requiring us to speed up fish passage work and open 90 percent of habitat blocked by culverts under state highways by 2030.
