The Audio Output Transformer went South. I have hay-wired in a universal type transformer and it seems to have solved the problem. I have located an exact replacement so will limp along until it arrives and will use the hiatus to fix some other stuff. Interestingly --the audio before the transformer blew up was a bit distorted -- now it is better. I have replaced two electrolytic caps and two 0.22 uf @ 200 VDC caps. A 0.1 uf @ 200VDC is coming tomorrow
Truly amazing -- the VFO (built like a tank) is quite stable and the band to band calibration is excellent.
If you can find one cheap -- grab it.
NOTE: The power Supply is a Drake DC-3 (DC to DC) Power supply intended for Mobile Operation!
