Inside that same book, there was another story about the legend of a Yao woman who became another moon.
One spring day, she had released a mysterious scent that caused everyone's hair to grow uncontrollably.
One person was not happy about it, and confronted her.
The battle caused all of her hair to fall out.
With that shiny bald head, she began creating artificial eclipses.
Today marked one year since the release of Touhou Chouhatsuyou ~ Burgeoning Tresses of Longevity. Neither anyone who worked on this game deserves an anniversary gift. For the thumbnail art, I drew a different character instead. Within that year since, I have graduated from that sort of fanservice and returned to traditional forms of character-driven storytelling. Its development was a disaster from start to finish. It fell behind schedule due to the second Mythos of Phantasmagoria game's development and faced constant executive meddling. The story behind a game's development is usually better than the game itself, offering insights into what went wrong behind the scenes.
