It was still early in the morning. The ritual is now underway.
A shrine maiden walked on stage, followed by a fox.
That fox was real. The shrine maiden began blessing it with her wand and placed her hand on top of its head, as if she was petting a dog.
The fox began to close its eyes and shortly after laid down.
The shrine maiden then performed her usual kagura. Shortly thereafter, another shrine maiden walked on stage and placed a headband of fox ears.
She then started singing a short aria, causing the fox to wake up and notice the fox ears on her head.
The fox thought if she was transforming into the fox. In reality, she wasn't.
It ended with the two parting ways from the shrine.
This will be the stage 2 theme for my next project. Again, this rendition won't be heard in-game. A playable demo is in development and will be playable at the upcoming Pittsburgh Anime Fest this weekend, so you may want to take the chance to play it if you're going.
