Guye Peak towers over Snoqualmie Pass and offers a challenging climb, especially in spring, when deep snow still blankets its upper slopes. In this video, we start at the Pacific Crest trailhead and take the Commonwealth Trail to a scramble route on the northeast side of Guye Peak. Alpine skills and ice axes are essential for the final push to the summit. We then complete a loop by descending to the Alpental ski area, encountering a mix of snow travel and rugged alpine terrain. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy the beautiful crest of the central Cascade Mountains.
