“Quand j’ai arrivé à la gare, j’ai cherché mon train.”

Caught it?

Here's a quick lesson: the verb “arriver” requires “être” as the auxiliary in compound past tenses, not “avoir.” So, it should be “quand je suis arrivé...” 💡

Also notice the smooth liaison in “je suis arrivé”.

However, “chercher” does stick with “avoir” as in “j’ai cherché.” 🤓
