Here are two examples where the written form might mislead you 😜

1️⃣ Singular "Un oeuf” becomes in plural “des oeufs": Adding an “s” for the plural? In French, it's (almost always) silent! Also the “F” sound disappears, which can be quite confusing if you're relying on the spelling.

2️⃣ "Une clé - une clef": These words look different but sound the same. Also in this case, the “F” at the end is silent, making the pronunciation identical for both. It's a subtle detail that can easily trip up English speakers.
