In 2014, Unicef and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games pledged to transform children’s lives, reaching children in every part of Scotland, and in every Commonwealth Country by the next Games.
As the 2018 Commonwealth Games begins in the Gold Coast, we’re delighted to share that the partnership has reached its promise to Put Children First.
• Programmes are now planned or underway in all 52 Commonwealth countries
• More than 11.7 million children have been reached by programmes to date
• More than 540,000 children are benefiting across all the regions of Scotland
• £6.5 million has been raised for programmes for children
