mrmattandmrchay | Spooky old DUMB WAITER - Check out the size of the controller!!! @mrmattandmrchay | Uploaded May 2018 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Here is a class Express Lift. This would probably have been quite slow, "Express" being the manufacturer.
We start with a short clip of the Ground floor, then straight to the First floor where the motor and control cabinet is located.
Back in the 60s/70s dumb waiters were just a smaller version of a passenger lift - the relays and contactors in the controller were identical, hence the SIZE OF THE CABINET!!
Fascinating stuff, and in my next video I will explain what all the relays and contactors do, THEN another animation showing a "shaft floor selector system".
