ABYSMAL EPISODE!!! (0/100)
NO WAY IN HELL ANYONE BEHIND THIS THOUGHT ANYTHING ABOUT IT WAS GOOD! IT’S ABSOLUTE SHIT FROM START TO FINISH!
Here’s the issues:
1 - King Neptune is horrible as he gets angry at his son Triton because he wants him to be destructive (This is after petrifying a baseball game and destroying the cure for all diseases), so he locks him in a cage on a deserted island, and has the gaul to act all mopey, and pissed when Triton does get free by SpongeBob. Then reveals, oh wow he succeeded at his goal! And he blames SpongeBob for everything! WTF IS THIS THOUGHT PROCESS?!
2 - The episode beats around the bush way too much. King Neptune acts like a stupid wah-wah crybaby for too long, until he eventually reveals his backstory with Triton. Then we get too much time spent of SpongeBob trying to free Triton, not helping is one long scene of SpongeBob’s overly detailed ugly face with smelly breath, then SpongeBob and Patrick trying to free everyone, only for Triton to try to flee and get stopped and Neptune’s reveal.
3 - It’s not funny at all. I think this is one of those episodes that severely lacks of any jokes.
4 - The advertisements said there was gonna be an epic battle in this. Guess what? THERE ISN’T ONE! THIS IS TRUTH OR SQUARE AGAIN!
5 - That fucking ending. After Neptune blames SpongeBob because apparently he’s responsible, everyone in Bikini Bottom chases down him and Patrick, and that’s how it ends! Hey I don’t know if you know this, which you clearly don’t, but… THIS IS NEPTUNE’S FAULT! HE LOCKED HIS SON FOR HOWEVER LONG, BECAUSE HE WANTED HIM TO BE DESTRUCTIVE AND CAUSE THE WHOLE TOWN TO PANIC! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS EPISODE THINKING?!
Absolutely pathetic. This is the worst special episode in the show, hands down, no exceptions. I would gladly rather watch Truth Or Square or even SpongeBob You’re Fired again. Hell, I would even rather watch Patrick’s worst episodes in the show because on some level, I believe there’s a bit of awareness of how awful/crazy Patrick is. But not here. It’s just “Neptune was good, SpongeBob is to blame for everything.”
This episode can go to hell, and so can Neptune.
