Dive surveys of the reefs off Speyside, Tobago, from May 2026, mostly around Little Tobago and Goat Islands. Sponges are the most abundant benthic organisms on these reefs, particularly the giant barrel sponge, which provides most of the structural habitat for other benthic organisms and fishes. The video shows some remnant reef corals, but the relative cover of corals has dropped considerably since the last video of these reefs, 11 years ago:
