To access the "Darker Side of the Moon," the final stage that follows the other secret level "Dark Side of the Moon," you need to acquire 500 Moons.
Nab them, then complete the gauntlet (which you'll need to do without losing a life) -- the tail end of said gauntlet is featured in the video above.
That's it! You'll gain access to the Invisibility Cap. Other than that, you can go for a 100% Moon completion, but this is basically critical path content complete.
