A Critical Dragon | Spoiler Discussion: Legend by David Gemmell (feat. Dr. Nefarious Fantasy) @ACriticalDragon | Uploaded February 2023 | Updated October 2024, 18 minutes ago.
David Gemmell's Legend (Book One of the Drenai) was the world's first introduction to Druss the Legend, and it was one of the first Fantasy series that younger me (only a hatchling at the time) just got lost in.
A dark heroic style, Gemmell's approach was something I hadn't encountered before, and now we might describe it as proto-Grimdark.

Anyway, the evil @PhilipChaseTheBestofFantasy Nefarious villain that he is, joined me for a spoiler chat about the book seeing as he already did a spoiler free review on his channel and didn't invite me. Typical villain stuff, really.
