Powerful, efficient, bluesy Monroe-Style device for the ends of many, many breaks that have a split bar from the 1 to a 5, or G to D, for example, or A to E. not too tough, just takes a few hundred repetitions to get the muscle memory to lock. Cheers!

Rawhide can teach a student invaluable knowledge about bluegrass mandolin. From powerful sliding double-stops, to lightning quick runs of notes, to the unusual 3-6-2-5 bridge chords, its chock full with powerful music and is great training for learning by ear.
I learned it about 30 years ago and its still one of my very favorite tunes to play. It was extremely empowering because it imparts so much about how it all works. Remember you can slow the video down on YouTube, pause it and run it back to work out the more complicated phrases. It can take a long time to learn it, but it is worth it!
