The PC version suffers from numerous downgrades compared to the Xbox port, particularly in lighting and graphical effects. A majority of these downgrades are due to how the maps and game itself was ported, rather than it being due to modern hardware. This video will show most of the downgrades that I could find, and how the PS3 port is even worse despite being based on the PC version.
All PC footage was captured using the vanilla game files, with DgVoodoo2 being used to restore buffered shadows. The 4:3 resolution of 2880x2160 was used on PC to match an aspect ratio similar to Xbox Series X. PS3 is running via RPCS3 in the 4:3 mode too.
For Splinter Cell 1 widescreen on the Xbox version, extract the ISO and open default.xbe with a hex editor such as HxD, change the initial value (B8000080 3F898190 0000008B 54241089 828C0000 00) to (B8000040 3F89818C 000000D9 E8D99990 00000090 90)
For Pandora Tomorrow, open 'default.xbe', change the initial value (8B55D489 5004C745 D8000000 008B4DD8 894808B8 0000803F 8986B000 00008986 AC000000) to (894804C7 45D80000 00008948 08B80000 803F8986 AC000000 B8000080 3F8986B0 00000090)
