For this raid, I'm taking Frye with me as a Bot Buddy.
Frye's Showstopper is Moray Storm, where she summons a whole army of moray eels to rain down on your given area. You still get to do anything else you want during this, but it also means you won't invincible.

This level debuts another kind of raid.
At first, it seems normal, as you reach another island. But this one starts out with the crew staring at massive pipes releasing unnatural fog everywhere.
Turns out that the Bot was aim DOWNWARDS. As in it picks up treasure underground. So now its time to drill under to look for it!

Ruins levels consist of you either going through 1 or 3 Sublevels filled with Salmonids to battle. If you're going through multiple sublevels, take down enough of the Salmonids within the time limit to collect enough Power Eggs so that the Bot can drill down to the next Sublevel.
In almost every kind of raid, you have three lives to go with them. If you lose them all, the raid is failed and you go back to the Hideout Ship.
However, it isn't a complete loss, as any smaller treasures and EXP you gained along the way will still be retained. So MAYBE you can use that to go for a better run.

In single-Sublevel Ruins raids, all you have to do is get enough Power Eggs so that you can drill for the Treasure right there and finish the level.
But in this level, which is a triple-Sublevel raid, the Treasure will be waiting for you at Sublevel 3...
...except it's carried by the Boss Salmonid waiting for you there. It's not just any Boss Salmonid, tho. It's a Seasoned Salmonid, a Boss Salmonid that has become one with the Spirhalite in order to make itself even stronger... and tastier...
So for here, the Salty Tongue becomes the Thick-Cut Salty Tongue. It replaces its sudden chomp with an even bigger Killer Wail.
When faced with a debuting Seasoned Salmonid, all you have to do is defeat it within the time limit in order to win its Treasure and complete the raid!
Doing this seems to have stop the massive pipe's fog, exposing more islands within the Spirhalite Islands for the crew to explore.

This time, the treasure turned out to be a Relic. A Two-Fisted Salmonid statue, to be exact.
Each Relic has a Relic Power when given to your tank, which has its own benefits. But you can only install as many Relic Powers as there are Relic Slots, and some Relic Powers are exclusive to a specific Tank.
Some Relics are also incomplete versions of themselves, and may need to be merged with other later Relics in order to complete what they're really supposed to be.
All-in-all, these Relics are worth money through their value, and as you collect more of them, your overall Relic Value goes up, which will raise your Raiders title. The higher this is, the more Spirhalite Shards you can get at a time.

Upon clearing that fog, Deep Cut decide they can raid more ruins to clear more of the fog and explore more islands.
They also learned that they can use the value of the Relics they find to help pay off Splatsville's outrageous debt... as they've kept having to do.
After all, treasure hunting is why they've headed out to these islands to begin with. They could go back home right now... but really not until they've stripped the Spirhalite Islands clean of all of the treasure they can find in it!

This game is single player-focused, but there IS an option to go for a multiplayer raid, if you want.

Upon completing the Scayl Buried Ruins, more things open up that you can do at the Hideout Ship.
- You can use materials to add more things to your ship. Such as new targets for the set range and pickups you can... pick up to immediately reuse your Gadgets and Showstoppers. You can even add in some 8-Bit arcade games to play.
- You can add a spot for Mechanic to upgrade their Tanks with. This applies to all 3 types at once. Pick up Skill Points along the way, and you can use them to increase HP, Weapon Damage, Gadget Damage, and Gadget Part Slots, but only up to a limit.
- You can... use the ship's crane!
-- Take the crane and use it to pick up boxes that drift along the ocean. Mind your timing and your positioning as these crates drift by at different speeds. You can't be too late or too early.
-- Use this to collect free materials, anything from Spirhalite Shards to Salmonid materials to something even rarer.
You can break the crates you picked up with your weapons to collect their prizes or just drop them on top of something tangible on the ship. If you want to be rude, you can even crack them open right on top of a Deep Cut member's head!
