Based on the 2002 blockbuster film, Spider-Man: The Movie follows high schooler Peter Parker as he gains incredible, arachnid-like abilities after being bitten by a genetically modified spider. Following the tragic murder of his Uncle Ben, Peter learns that "with great power comes great responsibility" and dons the mantle of Spider-Man to protect New York City.
The narrative tracks Peter's evolution from an amateur cage wrestler into a full-fledged superhero, putting him on a collision course with a rogue's gallery of villains. The central conflict pits Spider-Man against the Green Goblin, the psychotic alter-ego of industrialist Norman Osborn, who threatens the entire city and those Peter loves most. Alongside the main film plot, the game expands the universe by introducing battles against classic comic book foes like Shocker, Vulture, and Scorpion.
