Discovered it yesterday while playtesting a new mod, doesn't work in 1.1 and certain mods based of the reconstructed source code but works in 1.5.5
Steps required to do it:
Store the boost, turn around, morph, activate the spider ball and then go to the opposite direction until you get hit.
There's another way to do it by moonwalking, the knockback gets reduced to only 2 frames and you still keep the boost but this was known for years already.
