A pod of 4 sperm whales showed up off Newport Beach which is a very rare sight. Sperm whales are the largest toothed whale and the third deepest diving mammal (up to 10,000 ft.) These were seen about 20 miles off the coast traveling south. Seen while aboard Newport Coastal Adventure. We used a hydrophone to listen to them echolocating and I've dubbed the sound over this video.
