Close encounter with a female mountain lion known as "Uno." She is used to living amongst humans but it's obvious she wanted nothing to do with me except to just get by. This situation was handled flawlessly and is used as an example of what to do in this scenario. This was my 6th mountain lion encounter. Her collar helps researchers with UC Davis monitor her movements to help protect the species.
