This is essentially the direct opposite of the last game; a campaign where I hit all the sliders to maximum, and may deeply regret it. But there's also a certain peaceful majesty in such a great campaign. Putting a few minutes or hours into it at a time, then putting it down, safe in the knowledge it's going to take many more to conclude.
It reminds me of that old Galactic Civilzations 2 LP, where I set the size way, way too large and let way too much Dead Time pass. But it was fun. I'll have to work on that balance, since I'm having a lot of fun with this one.
"Hivers don't care about distance" is a usefully-true adage that isn't technically accurate... since the greater the size of a map, the greater the advantage that redounds to the Hiver player. The inverse is certainly true.

And whether or not they succeed this time, the Thoraxians and Burlusts are, definitely, going to try this shit again, and again, unless we do something to remove their capacity to wipe out the others.

I dont know why, but I didnt see outdoors focused in Shizune until this point. I guess part of it is Im really not, so hey. Anyhow, we all go fishing together, and honestly, it was a pretty good time.
Even if Shizunes natural competitive urges threaten to spark a third great war. Or, as she thinks about it, Tuesday.
Wed be getting a lot further, a lot faster, if this crashing issue could be resolved. Im not sure if its my aging machine, or the games program itself. Probably both.

Also, Im already starting to get the feeling that Shizune and Misha act so... assertive, is partially because they might be lonely? Or, is it the other way around, their attitude fends people off like a line of loud, laughing spearmen?

Read this please. I started this series bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and enthusiastic to record. I kept up a twenty five day streak of uploads, without missing one single day. At least like thirteen hours of footage, I checked, on this one game of SOTS.
And it was fucked from the start. I knew the instant I saw our central starting position; I should have restarted with four teams, not three. Or just two. Or not set it to Literal Cheating Mode just to look hardcore. Or not rolled a ten percent chance to get deep-dicked over-
Its not that were losing every battle. Its not even that I couldnt, theoretically, bring this back from the brink.
But it would be such a fucking pain in my ass, for exactly no viable returns whatsoever. So, this human playthrough is on Hiatus. Im very likely to come back after a bit with some hivers or another race, since I still like SOTS, but it... requires a lot. It requires that you be On, that you make the most of every single turn.
And Im clearly not in a headstate to permit that anymore.
