LANSING, Ill. — If you happened to be heading down Glenwood Lansing Road or Torrence Avenue on Thursday, you may have seen an unexpected sight: an entire garage being moved from one end of town to another.
Moving houses — or in this case a garage — used to be more common back in the day, and that’s where brothers Bob and Joel Eenigenburg got the idea to help each other out.
The garage was escorted from Bob’s house near the Lynwood border to Joel’s house just down the street from the library. It took about 45 minutes for them to move the garage and get it settled above its new foundation.
