A few weeks ago, I reviewed the Master System version of Golden Axe, an arcade game that provides some fun action, but isn't exactly known for a long gameplay experience. I gave that port three stars, because even though it was missing some elements of the arcade version, it retained the spirit of the arcade game, and it was released only about a year after the arcade game, so it was still very timely.
This week, I'm reviewing a similar port of an arcade game, that again, isn't known for extended playtime. However...this time around, the results aren't the same...for NUMEROUS reasons. Take a look to see where things might have gone sideways!
Also, just a production note, in the front cover section, when I saw the Ocean cover of the European home computer ports is "fine", that's to be taken a bit sarcastically. It's not lost on me that rather than a Nissan 300ZX, it appears they've changed our heroes' car to a 1978 Chevy Camaro.
