Spawner farms are a staple of early game play, and even some mid-late game play if you have built your base around one for fast/easy/convenient repairs and enchanting. This video will show you how with just a couple of blocks you can upgrade your rates to the MAX... Max XP, Max Drops, Max Speed... and all in less than a minute once you gather those handful of blocks.
It changes the rates from about 482 mobs/skeletons per hour to 507+. That may not seem like a lot but that roughly 5% increase adds up fast... fast enough that you will more than make up for it in the first hour of afk time that you spent building it. It will optimize your skelly farm to about 4,100xp per hour and 1,521 bones (or 4,563 bone meal), and that bone meal can be converted to 6,844.5 bamboo which as fuel to a furnace farm will increase your xp per hour from 4,100 to 5,811+ xp per hour... meaning a whopping ~140,000xp per real life day!
