Early Game Wool farms can be pretty simple... trap some sheep in a large fensed off box and hope for the best. Often, you will find the sheep do not regrow their wool very often or fast, and that is because they have eaten all of the grass in the holding area meaning there is none left to spread. With some very simple alterations to the basic design, you can maximize the efficiency and likelihood that you will have wool to shear when you return as the sheep will have plenty of grass to eat, all without a single dot of redstone.
