Space Travel is an early video game developed by Ken Thompson in 1969 that simulates travel in the solar system. The player flies their ship around a two-dimensional scale model of the solar system with no objectives other than to attempt to land on various planets and moons. The player can move and turn the ship, and adjust the overall speed by adjusting the scale of the simulation. The ship is affected by the single strongest gravitational pull of the astronomical bodies.

Tornado Baseball is a baseball arcade game which was released by Midway Games in 1976; it runs on an Intel 8080 microprocessor (running at 1.9968 MHz), and was one of the first baseball games to have a lot of players on the field simultaneously. As with Gun Fight, this is a two-player title, and both players will play on the same $0.25 - the pitching player must use one 8-way joystick to select one of eight different pitches, while using a second 2-way joystick, to move the outfielders left and right. The batting player, however, may only use one button to swing his bat; both players will also be using the same set of controls, and they will have to shift left or right every time three outs occur. The number of innings you will receive for one coin depends on how the cabinet is set, but if it is less than nine, you will have to insert another coin if you want to continue with the remaining ones.
This is the first game in the Midway Baseball series. It was followed up by three sequels: Double Play (1977), Extra Inning (1978), and Extra Bases (1980) (the last of which was presented in colour, given that it ran on Midways Astrocade hardware); because Extra Bases also came in a cocktail cabinet as opposed to an upright, the screen would flip to face the pitching player each time three outs occurred.

Gran Trak 10 is an arcade game developed by Atari through its subsidiary Cyan Engineering, and released by Atari in May 1974. In the game, a single player drives a car along a race track, viewed from above, trying to pass as many checkpoints as possible before time runs out. The game is controlled with a steering wheel, accelerator and brake pedals, and a gear stick. Gran Trak 10 began development in late 1973; it was initially designed by Larry Emmons of Cyan, with the mechanical design handled by Eigen Systems, though after several design and production problems were uncovered during an initial small production run in March 1974 the design was overhauled by Allan Alcorn, the designer of Pong, with wider distribution beginning in May. The games circuits include possibly the first instance of integrated circuit-based read-only memory (ROM). Gran Trak 10 was developed during a time of several internal changes at Atari; as a result communication problems led Atari to not accurately track the expense of manufacturing the game. It was initially sold to distributors for a net loss of US$100 per cabinet; placing Atari in financial difficulties. The game itself was successful, and led to several versions of the game being produced in 1974 by Atari and its subsidiary Kee Games, including a smaller cabinet version titled Trak 10 and a two-player version titled Gran Trak 20, as well as numerous later racing games. Gran Trak 10 was the first arcade car racing game.

Wander was probably the first computer game that is recognisable as what came to be known as a “text adventure” (or “interactive fiction”) – pre-dating even ADVENT (a.k.a. Colossal Cave) by Crowther and Woods!
But Wander was more than that because it seems to have been designed to be a tool to allow users to create “non-deterministic fantasy stories” of their own.
