The year 2025 wraps up with a record breaking orbital launch year, both from the Cape (NASA's Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station) and from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Both sites, also referred to as the Eastern and Western Ranges, have been working with the launch providers and other contractors to figure out the best path forward and pave the way for a future where these spaceports can handle hundreds of launches annually.

The undertaking is referred to as the Spaceport of the Future and is designed to look ahead to the launch landscape of the 2030s and beyond.
