One of the United States' best known science educators is William Sanford Nye, better known as Bill Nye "The Science Guy." He's written more than a dozen books, won multiple Emmy awards and led The Planetary Society as its CEO for more than a decade.

In the lead up to the Artemis 2 mission, launching no earlier than April 1, 2026, Nye sat down with Spaceflight Now Reporter Will Robinson-Smith on the sidelines of the SpaceCom conference in Orlando, Florida to talk about the Artemis Program, the struggle to preserve NASA's science budget, and more.
