Space Crafts is a STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts & Maths) initiative at DIAS Dunsink Observatory and is funded through the Research Ireland Discover Programme with support from ESERO Ireland and Fingal County Council Arts Office.

Space Crafts expanded our current education programme to include local primary schools in a series of collaborative science and arts workshops. In partnership with Superprojects and a group of Irish artists, we developed and ran new workshops at the Observatory that included informative science activities followed by art activities inspired by the science the students learned.

The Space Crafts project was funded by Research Ireland (through the Discover Programme Grant No. 23/DP/11948) and was run in partnership with Fingal County Council Arts Office.

With thanks to artists Aileen Murphy, Julia MacConville, and Mary Jo Gilligan, Rayne Booth from Superprojects, Julie Clarke from Fingal Co. Council, and Darina Scully and Alice Benbara De La Cruz from the DCU School of Human Development.
