Birth of KV-6 Behemoth
In July 1941, Stalin found out that a single KV-2 had stopped an entire German Kampfgruppe for more than a day during the Battle of Raseiniai. Stalin was exhilarated , he ordered his designers to build a land battleship based on the KV-2 design.

When the designers highlighted to Stalin that three turrets made the vehicle too long to have an acceptable turning radius, Stalin’s answer was: “It doesn’t need to turn, it will drive straight to Berlin.”


Osokin Tank Cruiser was a massive 270-ton super-heavy land cruiser concept proposed by Soviet Engineer-Lieutenant-Colonel P. Osokin in 1942.
