Maisan Provincial Park is located in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do and has names that vary depending on the season. In spring, it's called Dotdaebong, in summer, Yonggakbong, in autumn, Maibong, and in winter, Munpilbong.
There are two main lines that lead to Mount Maisan, which are located on the south and north sides. The southern course is very popular, featuring many stone pagodas from Tapsa Temple. The temple has around 80 high-stone pagodas that do not sway no matter how strong the wind blows. Another attraction of the mountain is the Eunsusa Temple, where Raja Taejo stops to give a 100-day prayer during his trip to Seongsusan Mountain.
Maisan Provincial Park is also known as a recreation area, with many hiking courses. In particular, there are 3 km long cherry blossom tunnels that stretch from the entrance which bloom every year in mid-April. The cherry blossom tunnel serves as the venue for Jinan's annual Cherry Blossom Festival, with interesting performances and beautiful attractions.
