The Duke Divinity Office of External Relations, through the "Wind in Our Sails" program, hosted a webinar entitled "Soul Tending in a Virtual Age."
As Christian leaders face the challenge of leading in this virtual age, we need wisdom on how to effectively preach, provide pastoral care, and disciple those within their congregations while confronting the challenges of ministry in this virtual age.
Our featured speaker was The Reverend Dr. Sam Wells, Vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, UK and former dean of Duke University Chapel and research professor of Christian ethics at Duke Divinity School.
Following our featured speaker, we welcomed responses from Reverend Dr. Donna Claycomb Sokol '00, pastor of Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church, and Reverend Dr. Cynthia Hale '79, founder and senior pastor of the Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia.
