A Vinyl Community live stream, playing and chatting vinyl records, new and old, from experimental music to dub, with healthy doses of post punk, indie, modern classical, electronic music, folk, psychedelia, hip hop, techno, global sounds, etc.
If you enjoyed this, maybe even found ideas of records to get, and want to tip your DJ & support the channel to do more of the same and better, you can do so here, it really makes a difference : ko-fi.com/stunty or paypal.me/stuntrockconfusion
Last week's discussion with Ohad was very interesting, loved to have his unique perspective. But I hope the music was at least on par. The idea that music could serve as emotonal political geography has stayed in my mind, though, opening up the idea for a redefinition of Fourth World music, a more operationl one. I might follow this through in this stream or the next few ones.
I'm not yet sure what this week's selection will sound like, though, had a relatively calm week (it's freaking cold out here!!) in terms of finds and new arrivals, but the record shelves always provide, and as I'm writng this, I'm sure I'll find some nuggets before going live.
I'll just hope we're all warm, and with our ears open.
The great men of old, the divine men, spoke with great peace, as if a hand were placed on the heart, and one would stop, listening to them, and millennia later,
still listening to them, you would still stop, as if a hand were resting on your heart.
It was no longer so now.
Grating howls, and the sounds of trucks, and the atmosphere of a riot.
The era was trumpet-like, but the breath itself was muffled and anguished, short and hypocritical.
The Colossal One, even the grandeur was absent.
In the triumph, the villainous: fallen heads were defiled, the rabble were pushed in.
The falcons, to better deceive, dressed as warblers.
But they were falcons.
The rest had never been so ant-like.
Interchangeable ideas of tin soldiers, unmoved even by hatred.
Everything was
Tribe,
Tribe!
