Earlier this year Sony launched a new range of compact hybrid digital radio mics. The UWP-D series of microphones have some really neat features such as USB ports for power and re-charging. There are infra red ports for frequency syncing and a special docking port on the receiver to connect with a docking port on many Sony cameras. The digital processing in the microphones improves the dynamic range and helps reduce hiss.
