I got the opportunity to pair Tokina's wonderful Vista prime lenses with a Venice 2 for a day in London. This proved to be a wonderful combination. The high resolution but beautifully rounded Vista lenses allowed me to make full use of the 8.2K 17:9 scan mode of the Venice 2. The minimal focus breathing and near total lack of chromatic aberrations make these lenses a delight to work with. Plus they have a very slightly warm look that I find very pleasing given a slight vintage feel to the footage. All the lenses in the set are t1.5 allowing for a very shallow DoF.
The two timelapse shots were shot at 8.2K and then a post production push in added. Even viewed in 4K there is no obvious loss of image quality as the image is expanded to up to 2x. The day footage was shot at 800 ISO and the night footage made use of the second higher base ISO of 3200.
