We're coming off of Gamescom 2026 with some big rumors about Sony and their decision to end disc production by January 2028. It seems there was a lot of talk at the show and that there's some serious resentment towards the company from their developer and publishing partners. There's even some talk about Sony reconsidering the decision? Perhaps delaying it? Would Xbox have some influence there with Project Helix supporting discs? The disc to digital program has certainly bought Microsoft some goodwill, but what's really going on with PlayStation? Today we discuss the latest rumors, and continue huffing on hopium.
