Here's a playthrough in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis. The actual record is done on an emulator, to ensure maximum FPS(and I don't have a way to record from the TV either). I skipped getting emeralds in the game, and I tried to provide the maximum feeling of speed I could get out from this game.

This is the first zone, Emerald Hill. This stages has plenty of ways to go, but most of them lead to the right. You can either take the low route, or fly high up in the air skipping most of the stage.
