The hacking prodigy MarkeyJester has put in Sonic CD's Special Stage into Sonic the Hedgehog, complete with MODE 7 and sprite scaling. The FPS may be low, but this is an amazing feat, and just one more thing to prove the SEGA Genesis could do MODE 7 just fine!
The SCD Special Stages do not count for Chaos Emeralds though, only the original Sonic 1 Secret Zones.
