Since Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were going to be one game, it is no surprise that remnants of Sonic & Knuckles exist in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. These are the two bonus stages from Sonic & Knuckles, most of the graphics have been deleted, but some still remain. Sometimes if you try to access these stages, it will just load garbage data.
