This is the good ending to the 8-bit Sonic 2 when you found all the Chaos Emeralds. Once you do find all of them in this game, you get to battle Robotnik and after you defeat Dr. Robotnik, you get to rescue Sonic's Best Friend Tails which brings a True Happily Ever After to the game and that’s when after this journey of 8-bit Sonic 2 is over, the events of Sonic 3 & Knuckles comes into play where then Tails uses the Tornado to fly Sonic over to Angel Island with the Chaos Emeralds he collected having all 7 turning into Super Sonic before losing them all again when Knuckles gets in the way to steal them for Dr. Robotnik's next evil scheme!
