Regency Rum Bluffers run singing workshops, especially at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath. Here is a song originally entitled "Celia" but this year we have a Pride and Prejudice theme, so what better for the maladroit proposal of Mr. Darcy than this song - the singer lists all of his love's faults, yet cannot help himself but love her.
The song is quoted by Austen in Mansfield Park :
"Nothing could be more agreeable than to have it asked "how the pleasing plague stole on him"
